ACME Industries MFG, Inc. is a 75+ year precision CNC contract manufacturer serving aerospace, defense, power generation, and industrial markets from our two Elk Grove Village facilities. We hold AS9100:D, ISO 9001:2015, and ITAR certifications, and we are PE-backed and on a significant growth trajectory. Our work centers on large forgings, castings, 4-axis mills, and VTL operations — complex, critical-application parts for some of the most recognized names in aerospace, defense, and heavy industry. If it flies, powers a grid, or moves the earth, there's a good chance we've touched a component inside it.

Are you a manufacturing engineer, applications engineer, or inside sales professional with deep CNC machining roots — and you're ready to own the commercial side of complex precision manufacturing accounts?

This is a Sales Engineer role, but not a traditional sales role.

You will own a portfolio of existing accounts — no cold calling, no hunting, no territory quota. You are the technical point of contact between our customers and our shop floor. You coordinate quotes, manage the customer relationship through production, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Requirements:

You're a fit if you:

Have 3–7 years in a CNC contract manufacturing environment — as a manufacturing engineer, applications engineer, estimator, or inside sales coordinator

Can read a print, understand GD&T, and hold a conversation with an engineer about tolerances, materials, and machining sequences

Are organized, responsive, and proactive — your customers always know where their order stands

Want to transition into or grow within the commercial side of manufacturing without abandoning your technical roots

Thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative shop environment where the CEO goes on customer calls and red tape is minimal

Compensation & Details

$85,000 base salary + 10% annual performance bonus ($93,500 OTE)
