Job Description

This role supports the manufacturing of high-quality doors by performing hands-on production tasks in a climate-controlled, modern facility. Production associates work in either the building department, assembling and finishing doors with hardware and components, or in the staining area, applying finishes by hand in a repetitive, detail-oriented process. The position also contributes to quality improvement, training effectiveness, and cross-training efforts to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Work Environment

The role is based in a brand-new, climate-controlled manufacturing facility designed for comfort and efficiency. Team members work on a production floor with modern equipment and tools, focusing on door assembly, staining, and related carpentry tasks. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with overtime available until 5:00 PM and no weekend shifts. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and collaboration, with clear processes, quality meetings, and cross-training to support smooth operations and flexible staffing.

Responsibilities

• Assemble doors in the building department by installing hinges, weatherstripping, door knobs, glass, and other hardware components according to specifications.
• Perform hand staining and finishing of doors in a repetitive, detail-focused process to achieve consistent quality and appearance.
• Operate production line equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, following established procedures and guidelines.
• Use hand tools and basic power tools for assembly, carpentry-related tasks, and general production work as required.
• Support general labor activities such as material handling, organizing work areas, and assisting with machine operation and production flow.

Essential Skills

• Previous manufacturing experience in a production or shop environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive, hands-on tasks such as staining and assembly with attention to detail.
• Comfort using hand tools and basic power tools for assembly, carpentry, and general production work.
• Capability to operate or learn to operate production line machinery and equipment safely.
• Strong focus on product quality and willingness to follow quality standards and procedures.
• Ability to read and follow basic instructions, work orders, and production guidelines.
• Reliability in adhering to a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with overtime as needed until 5:00 PM.
• Willingness to participate in quality meetings and team discussions to improve processes and resolve issues.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment that may involve lifting, standing, and repetitive motions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Quality experience, including familiarity with quality control processes or reports.
• Mechanical experience or background working with machines, tools, or equipment.
• Woodworking experience, such as cabinet building or similar tasks.
• Carpentry experience in construction, home remodeling, flooring, or roofing.
• Experience with painting or staining in a production, construction, or woodworking setting.
• Exposure to general labor, machine operating, or production line work.
• Forklift experience or willingness to learn forklift operation (if needed for material handling).
• Interest in ongoing training and development to expand skills and cross-train in multiple areas of production.

This is a Permanent position based out of Etna, OH.

The pay range for this position is $44720.00 - $44720.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
