Clinical Pharmacist – BMT/Oncology

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

Job Type: Full-Time | Days (Rotating Weekends)

Pay Rate: $64.16 – $83.41 per hour (Based on experience) + Benefits

Job Description:

The BMT/Oncology Clinical Pharmacist provides specialized pharmaceutical care to patients undergoing hematology, oncology, bone marrow transplantation, biotherapy, and immune effector cellular therapy (e.g., CAR-T). This role primarily works within the Cancer Care Clinic but rotates to cover the inpatient BMT/Oncology unit , ensuring safe and effective medication use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services for hematology, oncology, bone marrow transplant (BMT), biotherapy, and immune effector cellular therapy patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Review and manage chemotherapy protocols and medication therapy plans.
• Monitor patient pharmacotherapy and perform clinical interventions.
• Develop and maintain treatment protocols, order sets, and clinical guidelines.
• Support evidence-based medicine and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in clinical research and pharmacy-related committees.
• Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
• Current Nevada Pharmacist License required
• Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) required
• PGY2 Oncology and/or Bone Marrow Transplant Pharmacy Residency preferred
  OR
• Minimum 5 years of clinical oncology pharmacy experience required
• Experience in BMT/Oncology clinic settings preferred
