Full-Time School Nurse Position

Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a full-time nurse in a school setting located near Quincy, MA. This contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule from 7:45 AM to 2:15 PM, Monday through Friday, totaling 35 hours per week. Your work will focus on providing dedicated, 1:1 care for a 6th-grade student with autism, ensuring his daily health and well-being within the school environment.

Qualifications

• Active LPN, LVN, or RN license in Massachusetts
• Prior experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or special needs is highly valued
• Strong understanding of toileting care and hygiene support
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented approach
• Current CPR certification

Key Responsibilities

• Support a 6th-grade student by providing timely and respectful toileting care, including checks every two hours and assistance with changes as needed
• Monitor and document student's health needs and responses throughout the school day
• Communicate any concerns, changes, or updates promptly to appropriate school personnel and guardians
• Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for the student
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators and therapists as required
• Practice strict adherence to all protocols regarding privacy and dignity
