Position Overview

Client is seeking a proactive and highly organized Workday Data Governance Analyst to support supplier onboarding, supplier master data management, procurement processes, and data governance initiatives.

This role is not an Accounts Payable Specialist position . The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Supplier/Vendor Management, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Data Analysis, Master Data Governance, and Workday , with the ability to work across internal business teams and external suppliers.

The organization currently has a significant backlog of supplier onboarding and data maintenance activities. This individual will be responsible for helping eliminate the backlog, improving supplier data quality, maintaining accurate supplier records, and strengthening supplier onboarding and P2P workflows.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on, proactive problem solver who is comfortable communicating with end users, suppliers, business stakeholders, and technical teams. This is a highly collaborative role that requires excellent organization, follow-through, communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in supplier/vendor management, P2P, master data management, data governance, procurement operations, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on Workday experience , preferably with the Supplier/Procurement modules.
• Experience extracting and analyzing data from Workday.
• Experience performing Workday data loads and/or building and maintaining EIBs .
• Strong understanding of supplier master data and supplier onboarding processes.
• Experience working with supplier tax information, including W-9/W-8 documentation, payment terms, and banking information.
• Experience working within Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and understanding how supplier data impacts purchasing and payment workflows.
• Strong data analysis and data quality management skills.
• Advanced or intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
  • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
  • SUMIF/SUMIFS
  • Pivot Tables
  • Data filtering and sorting
  • Data validation and reconciliation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data discrepancies and gaps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, and proactively identify and resolve issues.

• Experience in a mid-size or large corporate environment.
• Experience with enterprise data governance programs.
• Experience developing or maintaining business data glossaries and data dictionaries.
• Knowledge of master data management principles and data quality frameworks.
• Experience with supplier master data remediation or large-scale data cleanup initiatives.
• Experience improving supplier onboarding and procurement workflows.
• Experience working with Workday Supplier Accounts, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or related functionality.
• Experience supporting data governance standards, policies, procedures, and controls.
