Job Description:


- Shift: 20:00 - 08:00 (Nights)
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, 6 days per 6 weeks schedule period

Summary:
- As a competent Nurse, you'll practice independently and handle a diverse range of clinical situations.
- Deliver both routine and complex care while staying focused on long-term goals.
- Develop and enhance your ability to manage clinical contingencies effectively.
- Assign and delegate responsibilities to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Meet the expectations of One CHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Job Requirements:
- Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty (preferred)
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
- Current PALS certification (AHA only)
- Current TNCC certification required
- RN License in the state of TX or compact

Position Requirements:
- Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
- Preceptorship with a designated trained staff member to validate onboarding requirements.
- Participate in a residency program or other specific orientation as a newly licensed RN.
- Completion of all annual competency verification requirements.

Work Schedule:
- 3 Days - 12 Hours
- Work Type: Full-Time
