Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Emergency Department RN is responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame. This role involves providing care to patients through the therapeutic use of the nursing process, in collaboration with other health care team members. The RN demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary for patient care while applying principles of growth and development across the lifespan. The RN assesses and interprets patient data to identify each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs. This role includes functioning as a primary RN in Triage, Main ED, and Fast Track. The RN may also be floated to other hospital areas as directed by hospital leadership or the House Supervisor, adhering to the guidance of the Charge Nurse and maintaining high standards of care and safety.

Schedule

This position offers a night shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico or multi-state Registered Nurse license
• BLS (AHA) certification
• ACLS (AHA) certification
• PALS (AHA) certification
• TNCC certification
• Emergency and/or critical care experience preferred
• One year of Medical Surgical experience preferred

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
