RADIOLOGY/CT TECHNOLOGIST - PRN

Position summary Primarily responsible for obtaining a diagnostic radiograph while maintaining patient care and safety. General purpose Patient care; quality assurance. Education Associates or bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Science Experience Six (6) months previous experience preferred but not required. Licenses/Certificate Registration/registration eligible by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist. Position responsibilities Transports patients to and from the Radiology Department. Assist all patients on and off the x-ray/CT tables. Positions patients for specific diagnostic exam. Regulates and controls exposure of radiation to obtain a diagnostic radiograph. Assist Radiologist during all fluoroscopic and special procedures. Documents proper patient history for all radiologic exams. Operates mobile x-ray equipment, CT and x-ray machines. Performs x-rays and CT scans on emergency callbacks, weekends, and holidays on a rotational scheduled basis. Competent care will be given to patients of all ages, including pediatrics & elderly. Essential skills and experience CPR certified. Basic computer proficiency. Proper positioning with minimal radiation exposure to the patients.
