About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of orthopedic experience required License: Must have an active nursing license Certifications: BLS, NIH required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: MUST HAVE orthopedic work experience. Traveler experience is accepted with Epic experience. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO could possibly lead to cancellations. MUST HAVE ORTHO EXPERIENCE. Expected patient ratios are 5-6:1, with flexibility up to 7:1 in extreme cases. Unit will accept contracts for 13 weeks. 36 or 48 hours can be offered. Must complete every other weekend. Float requirements mean travelers may be required to float to any other unit based on staffing needs. Patient population includes orthopedic, neuro spine, med-surg, and post-surgical patients. The unit is fast-paced and requires nurses who can effectively manage pain for orthopedic and spine patients. Strong neuro/spine and orthopedic experience is essential. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility. All RTO requests must be pre-approved. Candidates must demonstrate strong customer service orientation. COVID-19 vaccine is not required, but flu vaccine is necessary with medical or religious exemptions only. Nurses must stay on top of pain management for patients who receive multiple pain medications. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to the start of employment. Candidates must complete testing in a timely manner after signing. References can be pending at the time of submission. Pre-start modules will be required and will not be billable. Modules must be completed online using compatible browsers. Travel pairs are allowed, but must be on different units.
