Shift: Monday Friday, 7:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m.
Hourly Pay Range and Other Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $22.00 $30.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Employment Type: Temporary (potential for extension or temp-to-hire)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. | 40 hrs/week
Job Summary: Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring for a temporary Accounts Receivable Specialist opportunity with a well-established construction industry client in Phoenix, AZ. If you're looking to apply your construction billing and lien waiver expertise in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, this could be the right opportunity for you.
This role requires hands-on experience with full-cycle accounts receivable and a strong working knowledge of the lien waiver lifecycle, including conditional and unconditional progress and final waivers. You will work closely with the Controller and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely billing and collections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounts receivable including invoicing, cash application, aging management, and collections
- Resolve complex payment issues, disputes, and credit memos
- Reconcile AR sub-ledgers to the general ledger and support month-end close activities
- Prepare aging reports and manage collections for assigned accounts
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve billing issues and recommend process improvements
- Prepare, review, and track lien waivers including conditional and unconditional progress and final waivers in compliance with Arizona state lien laws
- Collect waivers from subcontractors and suppliers prior to payment release
- Match waivers to invoices and pay applications; verify payment amounts and timelines
- Maintain organized waiver records and utilize systems to track waiver status
- Identify high-risk waiver language and protect against future lien exposure
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Controller
Requirements:
- 3+ years of accounts receivable and/or collections experience in a construction or B2B environment (required)
- Hands-on lien waiver experience including full conditional and unconditional waiver lifecycle (required)
- Working knowledge of Arizona lien laws
- Proficiency with ERP systems; Sage Intacct or similar strongly preferred
- Experience with Procore, Textura, ServiceTitan, or comparable construction billing platforms preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Strong problem-solving skills and professional written and verbal communication
- Ability to work fully on-site in Phoenix, AZ Monday through Friday
- Background check and/or drug screen may be required
