Position Title

EXECUTIVE CHEF – INDIANAPOLIS, IN

Salary $75,000 - $80,000 Job Summary As Executive Chef, oversee kitchen operations, maintain a safe and sanitary environment, and direct meal preparation in accordance with corporate programs and guidelines. Key Responsibilities Plan regular and modified menus according to established guidelines. Follow standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards; complete daily production worksheets and waste log sheets; taste completed meals for quality. Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, equipment operation, food safety and sanitation based on company and regulatory standards. Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas; ensure staff follows schedules. Maintain inventory of food and non‑food supplies to stay within established guidelines while assuring availability. Makes decisions regarding utilization of leftover food products within company guidelines. Comply with federal, state and local health, sanitation regulations and sanitation procedures evidenced through audits. Follow facility, department, and company safety policies and procedures, including occurrence reporting. Participate in departmental meetings, staff development and professional programs as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications A.S. or equivalent experience. 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience. Extensive catering experience. High volume, complex foodservice operations experience. Institutional and batch cooking experience. Hands‑on chef experience. Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation. Experience with computers including Microsoft Office and Internet. Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities. ServSafe certification (highly desirable). Benefits Medical.
