Registered Nurse (T%26RC) Radiology ACP Imaging Center Per Diem

Position Summary At Stony Brook Medicine, Registered Nurses diagnose and treat patients, provide care supportive to and restorative of health and well‑being, and adhere to medical regimens. Duties Assess patient condition and nursing needs; coordinate with other disciplines. Develop written individualized care plans, including teaching needs and discharge planning. Administer direct care, medications, and infection control. Assume responsibility for delivery of nursing care to assigned patients. Document patient/family teaching; ensure consistency with physician instructions. Communicate changes in patient condition, work effectively with staff and other departments. Participate in unit or hospital quality assurance activities or committees. Working Conditions Exposure to infectious disease, blood, body fluids, and other unpleasant elements; unpredictable emergency and crisis situations; irregular hours and work pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. Classified by OSHA as Category 1. Qualifications Registered Nurse 1 (T&RC) Required: Possession of or eligibility for a registered nurse license in New York State. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least one year of previous acute care hospital experience. Note: Only licensed nurse experience in an acute care facility counts toward RN1 experience. Required Pre‑Employment Criteria Pre‑employment physical examination and medical clearance. Electronic reference check with at least three professional references. 4‑panel drug screen.
