PRN Nurse Practitioner OpportunityGreat outcomes start with great people and Armor has an exciting opportunity for a PRN Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Lackawanna County Prison in Scranton, PA.ResponsibilitiesUnder indirect supervision, provide independent primary care in a correctional healthcare setting to a specified population of non-emergency patientsPerform medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up consultation, and health educationObtain patient histories and develop patient care treatment plans, ensuring completeness and accuracy using the POMR formatSupervise and/or coordinate the activities of patient care and/or support staffDiagnose and treat acute and chronic conditionsPrescribe medications and other treatmentsParticipate in planning programs and in developing specific health polices and proceduresQualificationsCurrent license as a Nurse PractitionerCurrent CPR certification, ACLS certification preferredTwo (2) years of experience as a NPProficient with electronic medical recordsAbility to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screenAt Armor Health we are raising the standard of care to impact the lives of those we serve by partnering with exceptional correctional organizations to improve health care outcomes.
