Head of Last Mile & Delivery Operations – FranceRole Summary Role SummaryAs part of JD Logistics’ European expansion, the Head of Last Mile & Delivery Operations – France will lead the design, launch, and management of JD’s last-mile delivery network in France. This role combines strategic leadership and operational excellence, ensuring a cost-efficient, compliant, and customer-centric delivery experience aligned with JD’s global standards.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Leadership & Network DevelopmentDesign and implement a nationwide last-mile strategy, covering urban, suburban, and rural areas.Build partnerships with third-party providers or develop in-house operations for B2C parcel delivery.Oversee systems integration, routing optimization, and the use of technology tools to enhance efficiency.2. Operational ManagementLead end-to-end delivery station operations: inbound, sortation, outbound, and last-mile dispatch.Ensure consistent achievement of performance targets for quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.Manage resource planning (labour, equipment, space) to adapt to volume fluctuations.3. People Leadership & Talent DevelopmentBuild, lead, and develop a high-performance leadership team.Partner with HR to recruit, train, and retain top talent.Foster a culture of safety, accountability, inclusion, and operational excellence.4. Safety, Compliance & QualityEnsure strict compliance with French labour laws, safety standards, and transport regulations.Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments; implement corrective actions as required.Maintain high-quality standards and address root causes of delays or operational issues.5. Continuous Improvement & Cost ManagementAnalyse operational data to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost optimization.Lead Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives to drive continuous improvement.Manage operational budgets, balancing cost efficiency and service quality.6.
