Production Team Member

The Production Team Member is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing and material handling operations to ensure customer parts are delivered accurately and on time. This role focuses on maintaining safety, quality, and production standards while working collaboratively within a team environment.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Perform all assigned production and inspection tasks in accordance with quality standards and procedures.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals and customer requirements.
• Report to assigned work area on time and maintain consistent attendance.
• Execute loading, unloading, and material handling processes while maintaining proper production sequencing.
• Rotate between job functions and cross-train as needed to support operational flexibility.
• Learn and follow Toyota Production System (TPS) principles and standard work processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, including problem-solving and process improvement efforts (PDCA).
• Maintain compliance with floor management systems and organizational standards (FMDS).
• Operate powered industrial equipment (PIE) safely and in accordance with training requirements, where applicable.
• Communicate any safety, quality, production, or equipment issues immediately to the Team Leader.
• Follow work instructions and perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
• Maintain professional and respectful communication with team members and customer representatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but is expected to work collaboratively within a team and support operational goals.

• Support team operations and assist in additional tasks when needed.

• Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changing production needs.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing or production processes preferred.

Language Skills:

• Ability to read and understand basic instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand and walk throughout the shift.

Frequent use of hands and arms to handle materials and perform job tasks.

Ability to lift and move parts up to approximately 2533 pounds as required.

Ability to push carts or materials on wheels across production surfaces.

May require reaching, bending, or working at or above shoulder level.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Exposure to moving equipment, production machinery, and noise levels may vary.
• Must follow all plant and customer safety requirements.

Education Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of janitorial, facilities management, or operations management experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
