Join Our Team as a Team Lead Accountant for Project Clean Up

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Team Lead Accountant to join our finance department in Indianapolis, IN. This is a contract position where you will play a crucial role in reconciling and closing out old projects using PeopleSoft and Euna financial software. Your work will involve extensive auditing, journal entries, and revenue transactions, all while leading the project clean-up efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Reconcile and audit past project activities to ensure accurate closures in PeopleSoft and Euna.
Process necessary journal entries and revenue transactions.
Engage in comprehensive reviews of financial data.
Maintain a detailed listing of all projects/grants and their reconciliation status.
Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Work independently and coordinate with other finance teams as needed.

Requirements

3-5 years of progressive accounting/auditing experience.
Experience with PeopleSoft (3 years).
Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Audit Standards (GAAS) with 7 years of experience.
Ability to problem-solve, conduct research, and recommend solutions to complex issues.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.

Preferences

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience with Euna financial and grants software.
State government accounting experience (3 years).
Knowledge of Governmental Accounting (3 years).
Audit experience (3 years).
