Seeking a University student, and or paid companion for 10 hrs. per week, to mentor a 17 year old teenager who has autism. Individual would need to provide support and experiences to this young man in the following areas: hiking, shopping, music, board games etc. His biggest interests are museums, Barnes and Noble, vintage stores, and drawing. Music is also a big passion of his, and he knows all artists and songs from previous decades. Seeking someone who can encourage his participation in hiking, and exercises/outings that will help him with strengthening core and posture. Applicant needs to increase his appropriate social and verbal skills, encourage friendships, new interests, and to minimize anxiety in new settings.
