Job Summary

At Red Hill Farms, no two days are exactly alike. A farmer wears many hats and plays an important role in nearly every aspect of the operation. One day you may be operating a tractor or hauling equipment, and the next you may be repairing machinery, caring for livestock, or packing products for customers.

As a member of our team, you'll help produce food using regenerative and organic farming practices while caring for our land, livestock, and crops. 

We're looking for someone who takes pride in every task, whether operating large, expensive equipment or tackling the everyday work that keeps a farm running. The right person is dependable, eager to learn, works well with others, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.

Key Responsibilities -

Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to: 

• Operate Tractors, Forklifts, and Other Farm Machinery Safely and Efficiently
• Operate Manual Trucks (No CDL Required but beneficial)
• Make Deliveries and Pickups as Needed
• Perform Basic Mechanical Repairs
• Maintain Fields, Fences, and Work Areas
• Irrigate Crops
• Work with livestock (Cattle/Chickens)
• Package Farm Products
• Assist With other Farm Projects as Needed

Qualifications

Physical

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Stand for extended periods of time
• Work in all weather conditions (as needed)

Other Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with Clean Driving Record
• Farm Experience (Preferred)
• Farm Equipment Driving Experience (Preferred)
• Forklift Experience (Preferred)

Work Schedule

• Full time
• Typical Schedule is 7 A.M. - 5 P.M., but will vary depending on the season and weather
• 40-50 hrs/week

By your first winter, you should be a confident, dependable member of our team who can complete most daily tasks independently or with minimal supervision. You understand how our farm operates, take initiative, and consistently produce quality work.

Our Farm

Red Hill Farms is an 8th-generation family farm in Pitman, PA. Our goal is to be good stewards of our land and produce food that people can be proud to put on their table. 

We are in the process of converting our 500-acre farm into a fully organic farm using regenerative agriculture practices. Mainly, we grow potatoes and 100% grass-fed beef, but we do harvest a few grains and have a small pastured poultry flock.
