Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and creating a safe, engaging environment for children? TELC is seeking an enthusiastic Aftercare Teacher to support and guide our afterschool program. In this role, you will foster creativity, promote social skills, and ensure the well-being of our students. This position is part-time, with the occasional full-day workday required (for example, full-day camp days).

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage with students in a fun and safe environment.
• Plan and write curriculum, and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Build positive relationships with students and communicate with parents.
• Be able to help with homework.
• Be comfortable leading a group of 15 children on your own.
• Be responsible for daily cleaning routines.
• Ability to be creative, flexible, and work in a team environment.

Qualifications:

• Teacher Qualified.
• Will need to have or be willing to get CPR/First Aid, Food Handler's card, Introduction to Childcare Health and Safety, Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect, Foundations for Learning, and Prevention is Better than Treatment.
• Previous lead teacher experience.
• Ability to write and implement curriculum for a range of ages.
