This contract opportunity focuses on providing high-quality OT services to children ages 3 to 5 years old, fostering their growth and helping them develop essential skills for a successful start in their educational journey.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Experience working in a school-based or pediatric environment
• Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in OT for children ages 3-5
• Familiarity with IEP processes and school documentation requirements
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach within multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt and tailor interventions to meet each student’s unique needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver both direct (hands-on) and indirect (consultative) OT services to support young children’s functional skills in the educational setting
• Evaluate and assess student abilities during initial assessments or re-evaluations to determine eligibility and the need for ongoing related services
• Collaborate with team members, including teachers, parents, and other service providers, at MDE (Multidisciplinary Evaluation) and IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings
• Develop, revise, and track progress on IEP goals and objectives to ensure students achieve their fullest potential
• Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and modifications to enhance student participation
• Maintain thorough, timely, and compliant documentation for all services provided
