Job Summary

Join a dedicated team as an Acute Neuro Registered Nurse at a prominent acute care hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is crucial for supporting the specialized Neuro Unit, including managing additional overflow beds to ensure comprehensive patient care.

The successful candidate will provide expert nursing care to patients with various neurological conditions, focusing on assessment, intervention, and continuous monitoring. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN to contribute to a high-acuity environment and make a significant impact on patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on an Acute Neuro Unit, including those in overflow beds.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans for individuals with neurological conditions.
• Monitor and interpret neurological signs and symptoms, promptly reporting changes to the medical team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in an Acute Neuro or Medical-Surgical unit with a strong neurological patient focus.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work as a travel nurse, residing outside the facility's local candidate radius.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
