Job Details Job Location: PUTNAM PEDIATRICS AND INTERNAL MEDICINE - GREENCASTLE, IN 46135 Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day Job Summary Assists in both registration and rooming of patients. Job Duties/Responsibilities Assists with in office procedures Collects vitals, weight, and patient information and completes any initial testing in preparation for provider Completes medication reconciliation Orders any testing or labs requested by provider Completes all Prior Authorizations for tests and surgeries ordered Efficiently conducts check-in, check-out, and rescheduling procedures as needed Prepare meds for injections Call patients with results Complete FMLA paperwork Maintain stock Scan/index medical records Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Education & Experience HS Graduate or Equivalent Years of Related Experience Less than 1 Year License/Certificate Required Yes Driver's License Required Yes Travel Requirements None Age Requirement 18+ Job Requirements Understanding of completing prior authorizations and other insurance needs Excellent customer service skills Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines Abides by all HIPAA guidelines Abides by all hospital policies and procedures Medical Assistant certification Preferred Skills Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn current electronic medical record (Allscripts, Epic) Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurances #J-18808-Ljbffr Putnam County Hospital - Greencastle, Indiana
