Additional Requirement: Must be able to read strips Required Certifications: ACLS BLS NIH Unit Details: Avg Census: 36 Rooms/Beds 36 Ratios - 1:4 Every other weekend coverage required No Call requirement Scrubs: Royal Blue Patient Population: Adolescents - Geriatrics Must be able to work in Telemetry setting. Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias Management of dysrhythmias Telemetry - on the unit monitoring Telemetry - remote monitoring Use of Rapid Response Teams Required Cardiovascular skills: Post Cardiac Angiogram Post MI Pre/Post Cardiac Cath Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery Required IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills: Blood Product Administration Central line care/management PICC line management Starting IVs Required Medication skills: Heparin Protocols Manage Cardiac drips- no titration Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration Required Respiratory/Thoracic Skills: Care of Chronic/Long-term Ventilated Patient Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac External CPAP/BIPAP High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Nasal Cannula Non-invasive airway management Oxygen face masks Tracheostomy Management RTO must be on the submittal No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment Please Note: Once RTO is submitted, this cannot be changed unless it's to cancel time requested - ensure that you have confirmed all dates needed off for the full 13 week contract
