RN Labor and Delivery

vTech Solution

Job Summary:

- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; no first-time travelers accepted
- Epic Experience: Required
- Certifications Required: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred
- Patient Diagnoses: Labor/preterm labor, low risk antepartum, post-op, pre-op, low risk labor & delivery
- Unit Details: 8 labor rooms, 4 triage rooms
- Clinical Roles: Circulate, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, scrub, low risk antepartum, low risk labor & delivery
- Special Procedures:
- Blood/blood products administration
- Cardioversion/defibrillation
- Cooling/warming blanket use
- Management of drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps
- Wound vac
- Administration of heparin, insulin, magnesium sulfate
- Special Equipment/Responsibilities:
- Attendance at all deliveries, including high risk
- GYN surgeries
- Couplet care, transition nursery
- Staffing Ratio: 1:1 to 1:3
- Floating: Required; may float to Post-Partum or NICU based on skill set
