Electrical Technician

divh2Electrical Technician/h2pThe Electrical Technician must be able to understand schematics, wire panels troubleshoot as necessary. Your experience will include electrical work within construction, residential, commercial or manufacturing industries. Youll work alongside our Applications, Controls Electrical and Mechanical Engineering teams to design, build, program, and deploy custom automated equipment and solutions for every application, process, and industry./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliInstall, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment./liliDiagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems and perform necessary repairs./liliRead and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics./liliPerform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment./liliEnsure compliance with electrical codes and regulations./liliCollaborate with other technicians and engineers to optimize electrical systems and equipment./liliKeep accurate records of all work performed and parts used./liliProvide training and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices./liliStay up to date with advances in electrical technology and industry best practices./li/ulh3Interpersonal/h3ulliServe as the technical interface with internal team for assigned projects./liliSupports an environment conducive to successful team interaction and customer satisfaction./liliObtains product and system technical information and keeps up-to-date with current and new technologies./li/ulh3Business/h3ulliBuilds relationships at the technical and professional level with I-C Automations customers and vendors./liliTechnical execution of projects./liliResponsible for meeting project schedules, hour budgets and customer satisfaction targets for own activities in support of the project team./li/ulh3Skills and Qualifications/h3ulliVocational Training and 3+ years experience required; or GED with 5+ years in related field. (but does not require a university degree)./liliMust be able to perform good mechanical and electrical assembly. Must understand the use of all production equipment./liliMust have a general understanding of the operation and use of key Automation products./liliMust have a general understanding of PC systems/software, including the production computer system.
