Job Summary Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for Director of Transportation and Mobility Services at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG Park is a premier facility that houses four major venues: NRG Center, NRG Stadium, NRG Astrodome, and NRG Arena. The Director provides strategic oversight and operational leadership for all transportation, parking, mobility, and traffic management functions across the 350+ acre campus, ensuring seamless, safe, and efficient mobility experiences for millions of annual visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as required and perform any additional duties assigned. Develop and implement comprehensive transportation and mobility strategies for year‑round operations, including long‑range planning for campus access, shuttle systems, rideshare zones, ADA loading areas, and wayfinding. Forecast mobility needs for emerging events, visitor trends, and future campus development. Oversee transportation and parking operations for major events, including ingress/egress plans, shuttle routing, staffing, and command‑center coordination. Direct real‑time traffic management, incident response, and congestion mitigation. Act as liaison with METRO, Houston Police Department, Harris County Constables, event promoters, rideshare companies, and other partners. Develop and manage departmental budgets and capital planning, and partner with parking operators and finance teams to optimize revenue streams and oversee post‑event settlements. Implement transportation technologies such as parking systems, sensors, and modeling tools. Provide executive oversight of transportation‑ and parking‑related financial performance, internal controls, and compliance across all events and daily operations. Manage all parking operations, including staffing, revenue optimization, technology systems, customer experience, ADA programs, mobility cart services, and accessibility shuttles. Develop mobility programs covering pedestrian flow, micromobility, and alternative transportation modes. Coordinate parking lot and exterior grounds maintenance with facilities, landscaping, and custodial teams to maintain safe and operational mobility routes. Lead contract negotiations and vendor performance management for parking operators, shuttle firms, landscaping and traffic control partners, ensuring compliance with standards, KPIs, safety requirements, and guest experience expectations. Ensure compliance with ADA, DOT, and local traffic regulations; oversee transportation safety programs, staff training, and incident reporting. Supervise managers, coordinators, parking teams, and event staff, providing coaching, evaluations, and development planning to foster a high‑performance culture. Maintain governance frameworks for transportation and parking operations, including internal reviews, investigations, and risk management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, Urban Planning, Operations, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 8–12+ years of experience in transportation, parking, or large‑venue operations, with strong experience in stadiums, arenas, or large public event environments. Proven success managing large teams, contractors, and complex operations. Strong leadership, communication, budgeting, and stakeholder‑management capabilities. Expertise in traffic operations, logistics, and high‑volume event mobility. Proficiency with parking systems, mobility technology, and traffic modeling tools. Ability to work extended and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed for events. Valid motor‑vehicle license within the United States. Computer Skills Operate a personal computer using Windows, Mac, Adobe, Word, Excel, and other standard office equipment. Other Qualifications Physical demands include regular movement around the facility, standing for long hours during events, and both indoor and outdoor work as required. Fast‑paced, high‑mobility operations environment requiring readiness to participate in event operations centers during major events.
