Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Location: Morrisville, VT Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Compensation: $130 – $135 per hour, based on experience Hours per Week: 40 Setting: Acute care hospital – perioperative services, obstetric, pediatric, trauma, orthopedic, and outpatient cases Job Description We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team and provide high‑quality anesthesia care across a wide range of surgical and clinical settings. This role involves independent practice within the full scope of anesthesia services, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal surgical conditions. Key Responsibilities Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for various procedures, including obstetric, orthopedic, pediatric, trauma, general, and outpatient surgeries Conduct pre‑anesthesia assessments, including patient history, physical exams, and review of laboratory data Develop and implement appropriate anesthesia care plans Perform airway management, including endotracheal intubation and ventilatory support Administer spinal, epidural, and regional nerve blocks (including ultrasound‑guided techniques) Monitor patients’ vital signs and physiological responses before, during, and after anesthesia Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and anesthesia documentation Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations and adverse reactions Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and clinical staff to ensure high‑quality patient care Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and continuous improvement initiatives Manage anesthesia equipment, supplies, and inventory Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and organizational policies and standards Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesiology program Current CRNA certification (NBCRNA) Active Vermont RN/APRN license in good standing DEA registration BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (preferred) 1–5 years of independent anesthesia practice preferred Comfortable working independently Experience with regional anesthesia and ultrasound‑guided blocks preferred Benefits Competitive hourly compensation Flexible scheduling options (Full‑Time, Part‑Time, Per Diem) Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) and holidays Retirement plan options (e.g., 401k) Malpractice insurance coverage Continuing education (CME) support Relocation assistance (if applicable) Supportive and collaborative work environment We are an equal‑opportunity employer and value diversity across our organization.
