Software Engineer III (Platform & Integration Engineering) Job Type: Full-Time Location: Annapolis Junction, MD Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Required Position Overview The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain tools and services supporting enterprise collaboration platforms within the SUBURBANDEVELOPMENT environment. This role focuses on enabling seamless integrations and enhancing productivity across systems built around Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence. The engineer will work closely with software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain tools and services supporting enterprise collaboration platforms Integrate and enhance systems leveraging Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions Develop automation scripts and services to streamline workflows and system operations Support system integration, deployment, and maintenance activities Troubleshoot and resolve issues across platform services and integrations Contribute to continuous improvement of system performance and reliability Minimum Qualifications Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline Substitution: Nine (9) years of Software Engineering experience on similar projects may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree Seven (7) years of Software Engineering experience Alternative: Nine (9) years of experience without a degree Required Technical Skills Proficiency with Linux CLI and standard Linux tools Experience writing scripts using Bash and Python Desired Qualifications Experience with Kubernetes and Docker Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab CI Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence) Experience supporting platform integrations and workflow automation Benefits and Compensation Health and Insurance Coverage: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees and eligible dependents.
