Class A CDL Driver

Pacific Lumber & Truss is looking for an experienced Class A CDL Driver to safely and efficiently deliver lumber and building materials to customer locations and active construction sites throughout the Pacific Northwest. Our drivers are an important part of our customer service team. In this position, you will help builders and contractors keep their projects on schedule by ensuring each delivery arrives safely, accurately, and on time. What You’ll Do Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers and flatbed trucks Transport lumber and building materials to designated locations Inspect loads for product and quantity accuracy before delivery Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain accurate electronic or paper logs in compliance with DOT requirements Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures Safely operate and care for truck-mounted lifts and related equipment Identify and report vehicle, lift, load, or delivery-related problems Communicate clearly with dispatchers, supervisors, customers, and jobsite personnel Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned equipment Assist with lifting, pushing, or pulling materials when required Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor What We’re Looking For Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License Forklift certification or demonstrated forklift operating experience Strong commitment to safe driving and material handling Ability to inspect loads and confirm product accuracy Ability to safely operate or learn to operate truck-mounted lifts Ability to lift up to 80 pounds Ability to pass a DOT physical and required drug screening Dependable attendance and the flexibility to work until scheduled deliveries are completed Strong communication and customer-service skills Comfort working around active construction sites and changing delivery conditions.
