Job Summary
Provide compassionate direct and indirect care to residents, including medication administration and support. Engage effectively with residents, their families, staff, and visitors, fostering a respectful and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold and promote the philosophy of encouraging self-care and independence among residents.
- Respect and appreciate the heritage, values, and experiences of residents, with an understanding of the aging process.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident records following established protocols.
- Collaborate closely with peers and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality care.
- Communicate tactfully and diplomatically in sensitive or emotionally charged situations.
- Remain calm and composed during emergencies.
- Maintain a quiet and peaceful environment.
- Assist the Dietary department as needed or directed.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in the regional Pacific Northwest area.
- Nurse Delegation Core and Diabetic Certification required.
- Preferred certifications include Mental Health, Dementia, and Developmental Disabilities for Assisted Living.
- At least one year of experience assisting with or administering medications under Nurse Delegation in an Assisted Living setting.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems such as Point Click Care E-Mar documentation is a plus.
