Job Summary

Provide compassionate direct and indirect care to residents, including medication administration and support. Engage effectively with residents, their families, staff, and visitors, fostering a respectful and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold and promote the philosophy of encouraging self-care and independence among residents.
• Respect and appreciate the heritage, values, and experiences of residents, with an understanding of the aging process.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident records following established protocols.
• Collaborate closely with peers and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality care.
• Communicate tactfully and diplomatically in sensitive or emotionally charged situations.
• Remain calm and composed during emergencies.
• Maintain a quiet and peaceful environment.
• Assist the Dietary department as needed or directed.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in the regional Pacific Northwest area.
• Nurse Delegation Core and Diabetic Certification required.
• Preferred certifications include Mental Health, Dementia, and Developmental Disabilities for Assisted Living.
• At least one year of experience assisting with or administering medications under Nurse Delegation in an Assisted Living setting.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems such as Point Click Care E-Mar documentation is a plus.
