Principal Consultant/Training Specialist, AML (Anti-Money Laundering)

The Opportunity:

The AML/KYC Training Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering training programs that support new hire onboarding, ongoing employee development, and regulatory readiness across AML/KYC functions. This role serves as the primary training resource for investor and counterparty due diligence activities, including onboarding, periodic reviews, sanctions screening, beneficial ownership, source of wealth/funds, and risk assessment.

What you’ll do:

• Delivering AML/KYC onboarding programs for new hires.
• Developing and facilitating ongoing training.
• Monitoring regulatory developments and translating changes into practical training on Luxembourg, U.S., and Cayman AML/KYC requirements.
• Creating and maintaining training materials, job aids, and knowledge resources.
• Partnering with Managers and Quality Assurance teams to address knowledge gaps and improve performance.
• Supporting training related to investors, fund structures, counterparties, direct lenders, deal parties, and other institutional customer types.
• Tracking training completion, effectiveness, and employee competency.

To qualify for the role, you will have:

• 8+ years of progressive AML/KYC experience, including multi-jurisdictional regulatory exposure within financial services or private markets.
• Demonstrated expertise supporting investor onboarding and counterparty due diligence within private equity, private credit, fund administration, or asset management environments.
• Strong working knowledge of regulatory expectations relevant to private fund onboarding, including Luxembourg AML regime and CSSF supervisory standards, Cayman Islands AML Regulations and CIMA Guidance, U.S. AML compliance frameworks (FinCEN, CIP/CDD principles).
• Proven ability to provide credible technical escalation support and operate as an independent control authority with limited oversight.

• Experience interfacing with senior compliance stakeholders, fund governance functions.
• Exceptional analytical, documentation, and professional communication skills.
• CAMS or equivalent certification preferred.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Major or concentration in compliance, criminal justice, law, business, accounting, finance, and/or economics preferred
• CAMS certification

Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00
