Duration: Temporary backfill during an existing employee’s approved leave. The assignment is expected to end when the temporary coverage need concludes.

Evening, overnight, and weekend coverage may be required based on the operational needs of the residence.

Position Overview

Fellowship Recovery LLC is seeking a Temporary Live-In Residential Monitor to provide short-term coverage within one of our women’s sober living residences.

The Temporary Live-In Residential Monitor supports Fellowship Recovery Housing by helping maintain a safe, structured, and recovery-oriented living environment. This position plays an important role in resident accountability, safety, documentation, compliance with house expectations, and communication with Fellowship Recovery Housing Management.

This position is a temporary backfill assignment during an existing employee’s approved leave. Employment in this assignment is expected to continue only for the duration of the temporary coverage need and does not guarantee continued employment in this position after the assignment concludes.

This is a live-in position, and housing is provided as a condition of the assignment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain a consistent presence within the residence to provide appropriate supervision and support.
• Ensure residents adhere to curfews, house rules, and program expectations.
• Promote a safe, respectful, structured, and recovery-focused living environment.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, behavioral incidents, safety concerns, and other resident needs.
• Complete resident intake and discharge documentation accurately and promptly.
• Review house rules, expectations, and program structure with incoming residents.
• Conduct scheduled and random urinalysis (UA) testing and promptly document results.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), including resident check-ins, UA results, incidents, behavioral updates, and other required resident notes.
• Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed by Fellowship Recovery Housing Management.
• Ensure all documentation meets organizational expectations for timeliness, accuracy, clarity, and confidentiality.
• Communicate regularly with Fellowship Recovery Housing Management regarding resident concerns, rule violations, safety incidents, maintenance needs, bed availability, and other household matters.
• Immediately report relapses, safety incidents, behavioral concerns, or other significant issues according to established procedures.
• Collaborate appropriately with treatment staff, case managers, and other involved professionals to support resident success.
• Enforce house rules fairly and consistently while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
• Ensure required releases of information and other resident documentation are completed as applicable.
• Protect resident confidentiality in accordance with organizational policy and applicable privacy requirements.
• Oversee household cleanliness and organization and help ensure completion of resident chores and upkeep of living spaces.
• Promptly report maintenance and safety concerns.
• Model accountability, reliability, appropriate boundaries, and recovery-oriented behavior.
• Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Fellowship Recovery Housing Management.

Degree of Authority

The Temporary Live-In Residential Monitor has limited authority related to maintaining a safe, structured, and compliant sober living environment. This includes enforcing established house rules, conducting UA testing, monitoring resident behavior, completing required documentation, and reporting incidents or concerns to Fellowship Recovery Housing Management.

This position does not have authority to make clinical or treatment-related decisions, independently impose disciplinary action beyond standard house-rule enforcement, or supervise other employees. Oversight and decision-making authority remain with Fellowship Recovery Housing Leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must successfully complete and maintain a cleared DHS background study prior to unsupervised work.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and crisis-response skills.
• Ability to maintain resident confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
• Ability to complete accurate, timely, and professional electronic documentation and resident charting.
• Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies and remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the residence as necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
• Commitment to maintaining a sober lifestyle consistent with the expectations of the recovery-oriented residential environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in recovery services, residential services, behavioral health, human services, or a similar setting.
• Familiarity with recovery-oriented systems of care and applicable documentation standards.
• Valid driver’s license.
