You will find a team atmosphere committed to safety and excellent customer service, along with a stable career that offers outstanding benefits!Essential FunctionsExecute routine operations of a grain/agronomy facility, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee and environmental compliance.Partner with other supervisors to meet customer specifications and timeline.Develop operational plans and monitor routine operations for all production processes.Assist in operating fertilizer plants and mixing chemicals for application.Prepare rail car and load cars according to specifications.Fill customer fertilizer orders according to the orders, run samples to ensure compliance with order, as well as Federal regulations, help load vehicles with product, and maintain inventory records.Train people to ensure location meets various government standards such as OSHA and AgState by conducting employee meetings to inform and educate.Prepare weekly inventory reports for various departments and assist location leaders with supplies, quality, and age of inventory.Perform general housekeeping--sweep and clean--facility to maintain appropriate dust levels and maintain AgState image.Education and QualificationsAssociate degree or three to four years of related experience.Additional training to obtain various licensing.Supervisory skills training, career development training and other in-company industry specific training sessions.Current valid Iowa driver's license, CDL and/or CAL license for Tanker and Hazmat endorsementOur Values ~ RISE: Respect - Integrity ~ Safety ~ ExcellenceAgState offers a generous benefits package including 401K Match or Defined Benefit (Pension) Retirement Plan, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Salary Continuation, Long Term Disability, Supplemental Insurance, Career Growth and Development Opportunities, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Education Assistance, Employee discounts and local discounts, Paid Holidays, Clothing Allowance, and a generous Paid Time off Accrual.Equal Opportunity Employer - we work hard to embrace diversity and inclusion and encourage employees at AgState to bring authenticity to work every day.
