Coordinator of Children and Youth Ministry

·         Build and shape effective ministry for the next generation.

·         Step into the ministry with the ability to develop volunteer leadership team.

·         Create engaging environment for children and youth and families to flourish.

·         Serve in the church known for outreach and community meals, partnerships with schools, nonprofit businesses, and churches in the community.

·         Work with Senior Pastor and supporting staff and leadership team to help grow the ministries of children and youth.

·         Position offers potential to expand into pastoral and other spiritual opportunities.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

·         Develop and lead a meaningful ministry for children, youth, and their families through weekly programming, special events, discipleship building activities.

·         Recruit, equip, and empower volunteer and leadership teams by creating collaborations, and partnerships with parents, students, and other adult leaders to help shape the children and youth ministry.

·         Create a welcoming environment for spiritual growth for children and youth through special events, camping, retreats, and other student activities.

·         Strengthen intergenerational ministries and connect children and youth with the church’s mission, “To Love Jesus Christ and to Share His Love.”

Desired Skills

·         A personable leader who has a “can do” attitude, able to follow through with ideas.

·         Able to foster meaningful connections with children, youth, volunteers, parents, and entire church.

·         Emotional intelligenc person with good communication skills who can navigate intergenerational congregations to invest and inspire the next generation.

·         Be a skilled leader, able to plan lessons and guide teachers and volunteers in Sunday School classes and Vacation Bible School events.

·         Help children discover their faith, purpose, and fulfillment in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Education

·         Bachelor’s degree is a strong preference.

·         Two years working with children and youth in educational and church setting.

·         Able to use Word, Excel, Microsoft, and effective social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram.

·         Detail oriented, able to perform in multiple work situations.

·         Required Background checks and PA Clearances.

Compensation

·         Based on experience

·         $35,000-$40,000
