• Number of Beds: 23
• Patient Ratios: 1:4, 1:5
• Unit Staffing: Unit Secretary and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
• Type of Equipment: Traction, fixators, cooling equipment
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 3 shifts of 12 hours each, including 3 weekend shifts per schedule period
• Floating Policy: Contract labor will float first to other MedSurg level units (General MedSurg, Nephrology, Neuro/Trauma)
• Patient Experience Requirements: Bedside shift report, hourly rounding

Hospital Specifics

• Certifications: Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center

Hiring Profile

Requested Skill Set:

• Must Have: RN license, BLS certification
• Advanced Skills Needed: Orthopedic experience, Telemetry, NIH Stroke Scale knowledge
• Procedures Performed on Unit: Post-operative knee, hip, and shoulder replacements; Trauma patients; some Neuro overflow – NIH knowledge is beneficial
