LHH is seeking a Patient Scheduling Coordinator for a Healthcare organization dedicated to providing high-quality care and an exceptional patient experience. The Patient Scheduling Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting both patients and clinical staff by managing appointment scheduling and ensuring smooth daily operations. This position serves as the first point of contact for many patients and is essential in creating a positive, welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments efficiently
• Communicate clearly with patients regarding appointment details, preparation, and follow-up needs
• Coordinate schedules across providers, departments, and locations as needed
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information within the scheduling system
• Answer incoming calls and respond to scheduling-related inquiries promptly and professionally
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the electronic health record (EHR) system
• Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to optimize provider schedules
• Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts while minimizing gaps and cancellations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare-related education a plus
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office, scheduling, or front-desk role preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Comfortable working with EHR systems and standard office software
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, empathetic demeanor with a commitment to patient care
