Pre-vocational Floor Supervisor

This position is full-time, 4 days per week, with a full benefit package.

Position Summary

The Prevocational Floor Supervisor oversees daily operations on the production floor and supports and trains program participants. This role ensures that work is completed on time, meets quality standards, and is performed in a safe and supportive environment. The supervisor also provides person-centered services to individuals with disabilities, helping them build job skills and work toward greater independence.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Workflow Management

  • Ensure all assigned projects are completed on time and meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Assist with assembly tasks as needed to meet deadlines
  • Maintain detailed records of all jobs and completed work to support accurate invoicing
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure work meets established standards
  • Demonstrate accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement in all work processes

Participant Supervision & Skill Development

  • Supervise and train program participants on job tasks using patience, compassion, and clear communication
  • Teach job skills and support participants in developing job readiness for future employment
  • Deliver person-centered support and collaborate with individuals to achieve their goals
  • Develop and implement support strategies tailored to individuals with disabilities

Client Care & Support

  • Provide respectful, individualized support and personal care as needed
  • Monitor and respond to health, safety, and dietary needs
  • Document and chart all personal care and support services provided

Safety & Environment

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Conduct equipment checks and provide safety training to participants
  • Complete incident reports and ensure compliance with all safety procedures

Communication & Customer Relations

  • Communicate effectively with customers to maintain positive relationships
  • Respond to routine client concerns and escalate complex issues to the Program Manager
  • Maintain professional communication with staff, families, and external partners

Documentation & Administrative Duties

  • Complete accurate and timely documentation including timesheets, attendance, and production counts
  • Support payroll and billing processes through proper recordkeeping
  • Uphold confidentiality of all consumer information

Transportation & Additional Duties

  • Drive designated routes to transport participants as needed
  • Assist with coverage in other service areas when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience in human services, personal care, or manufacturing preferred
  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred
  • Ability to lead and motivate individuals toward achieving goals
  • Strong communication and instructional skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Professional communication with a variety of stakeholders
  • Basic computer skills
  • Mathematical ability (basic operations, percentages, fractions, decimals)
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented approach
  • Knowledge of American Sign Language is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, twist, push, and pull throughout the day
  • Ability to assist individuals and use adaptive equipment as needed

Licensing & Requirements

  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Successful completion of a Caregiver Background Check
