Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Progressive Care RN for a night shift position requiring pressor titration skills and Epic experience.

Details

• Work in the A1 Cardiac Tele Progressive Care Unit of a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required (Fri, Sat, Sun for nights)
• Patient ratios between 1:3-5
• Floating occurs in 4-hour blocks and may include ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• BLS-AHA certification required
• ACLS-AHA and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Must be able to titrate pressors
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred, and required for candidates with no prior travel experience
• Day one pass/fail testing required, including Tele/ECG and Medication testing

Additional Information

• Provide progressive care nursing to cardiac telemetry patients with potential for floating to other units
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
• Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for a minimum of 6 months to be considered, applicable to all previous employment types (travel, perm, per diem)
• Weekly start dates occur on Mondays
• Candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible for this position
• First-time travelers will be considered if Level 1 trauma experience is met
