Job Description
This role is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical assemblies while following detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and established quality standards. The position suits a detail-oriented, mechanically inclined individual who takes pride in producing high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical components and subassemblies according to specifications, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
• Perform wiring, cable routing, crimping, soldering, and connector installation to meet product and quality requirements.
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, calipers, heat guns, pressure gauges, tape measures, and other specialized assembly equipment safely and effectively.
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing documentation to complete assigned work accurately.
• Perform in-process and final inspections and verify product quality throughout the assembly process.
• Maintain compliance with IPC and J-STD workmanship standards during assembly and soldering tasks.
• Document production activities, including labor tracking and assembly completion, within company systems and basic computer applications.
• Identify and report quality concerns, material shortages, and discrepancies in work instructions to appropriate personnel.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
• Meet daily production schedules, quality requirements, and efficiency goals while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures and use tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Work Environment
The role is based in a very clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility designed for comfort and efficiency. You work with a variety of assembly and test equipment, including hand tools, power tools, torque tools, calipers, pressure gauges, heat guns, and precision measuring instruments. The environment supports a 9/80 work schedule, providing a structured yet flexible workweek. Work is performed on the production floor at assembly stations, where organization, cleanliness, and adherence to safety practices are consistently emphasized. Attire is appropriate for a professional manufacturing setting, with any required personal protective equipment provided according to safety guidelines.

This is a Contract position based out of Johnstown, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
