About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Technician Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. - BLS - ACLS - ARRT - Competence in Special Procedures & GE Innova Description: Unit Information: The unit consists of 4 rooms with 1 patient per room. There are 22 staff members, including RNs and Techs. Day Shift staffing includes 1 Charge RN, a Director, and 4 staff members per room, totaling 16 per shift. The Night Shift team consists of an on-call team with 3 members each call, totaling 7. The patient ratio is 1:1. All equipment in the unit is GE. The Electronic Medical Records system used is Meditech and MacLab. Typical procedures performed in the unit include: - Cardiac Cath - Cerebral angiograms - Stents - Balloons - ENT Lab - Scrubbing The best personality fit for this role is a team player. We have a close-knit team that values critical thinking and patient care focus. The work is fast-paced, and on-call duties are frequent. Flexibility and adaptability to the needs of the unit are essential. Dress Code: Red and gray scrubs are required in the Cath and EP Labs. Unit scrubs can also be used. Awards and Recognition: The unit has received various recognitions and awards. It has been a designated top-performing hospital since 1980. The facility is a certified primary stroke center and specializes in multiple surgical programs. It has a 24-hour adult and pediatric ER and focuses on orthopedics, robotics, women's services, and rehabilitation. General Comments: This position is a contractor replacement.
