Experienced Service Technician

Service Technician Reports to Service Manager. The primary function of the Service Technician is to diagnose and complete repairs on heavy and medium duty trucks, including heavy‑duty trucks, large construction vehicles, buses, and tractor trailers. Tasks include inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, installation, and repair of components, engines, and systems related to heavy‑duty and medium‑duty vehicles. Key Responsibilities Perform recommended routine maintenance procedures. Perform diagnostic tests for issues, failures and performance. Determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems. Routinely use computerized equipment and specialized tooling. Complete assigned repairs and tasks in a timely and safe manner. Accurately record time, cause and correction on repair orders. Test components that may require to drive trucks before and after repairs. Participate in and complete technical training and professional development. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements Knowledge of basic computer skills and repair order processing software. Valid driver's license and ability to operate motor vehicles; safe driving record required. A current Commercial Driver's License is preferred but not required. Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends and on‑call or emergency repair shifts. Physical Requirements Mobility: ability to walk, stand, bend, climb ladders, work in confined spaces and under vehicles. Vision, hearing and manual dexterity sufficient for inspecting, troubleshooting, and handling tools. Lifting: ability to lift 60–150 lbs unassisted and use proper lifting techniques.
