About the Role

The Company is in search of a President & Chief Executive Officer to lead its dynamic regional economic development organization. The successful candidate will be a visionary and collaborative leader, responsible for advancing the organization's mission through strategic leadership, business attraction and retention, workforce enhancement, and stakeholder engagement. This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive economic development strategy, advising the Board of Directors, and leading efforts to attract and retain businesses and talent. The President & CEO will also serve as the primary spokesperson, foster partnerships among various entities, and lead fundraising and investor engagement to ensure the organization's long-term sustainability. Applicants for the President & CEO position at the company should hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a master's degree preferred, and have at least 7 years' experience in a leadership role related to economic development, business development, or public administration. A CEcD certification is desirable. The role requires a strong understanding of economic development tools, incentives, workforce development strategies, and public-private partnerships. The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, and be adept at building consensus among diverse stakeholders. Responsibilities also include overseeing all operations, personnel, programs, and financial management of the organization, as well as ensuring accountability through performance measurement and continuous improvement.
