Float Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist III - Floater to support our client's healthcare facility in Lynchburg, VA . This is a 13+ weeks contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment. Schedule: 8:30 AM–5:30 PM Location: Lynchburg, VA 24502 Job Type: Local contract Pay Range: $21 to $23/hour* + Mileage Reimbursement *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education. Duties: Perform venipuncture and collect high-quality blood specimens from patients, including pediatric and geriatric patients. Perform capillary collections when required. Prepare and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures. Verify patient demographic information and initials, and obtain the required patient signature after venipuncture to confirm proper specimen labeling. Ensure specimen labels are accurate and applied in the patient's presence. Maintain accurate patient records and required documentation. Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or GED required. License(s): Valid driver's license and clean driving record Years of experience: Minimum 2-3 years of phlebotomy experience – REQUIRED Skills/Specialties/Technology: Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections .
