JR Assembler

Job Summary: TheJunior Assembler assists the assembly department daily as needed. Unpacking,visually inspecting product, cleaning paint fixtures and light assembly aremain priorities. Reading routers, work instructions, and taking directions toidentify components and specifications that are required for assembly conformanceor visual requirements is also required. Duties and Responsibilities: Will learn to study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals,specifications or sample parts to determine requirements of set-up,operations, and final assembly. The assembly process is involved with inspection, removingand installing fasteners, painting, pressing pins, and other mechanicaltasks. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditionsto lead or design. Regularly perform mechanical operations by hand, with tools andwith light equipment. Perform general inspection of components before, during and afterassembly process and documents results. Maintains a positive work atmosphere and communicates effectivelywith co-workers. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly workareas. Performs all assigned assembly operations. Perform other duties as assigned. Work Environment: While performing theduties of this job, the employee is periodically exposed to moving mechanicalparts. The noise level in the workenvironment is usually low to moderate. Regularly required to talk or hear Frequently required to stand, walk Regularly use hands to handle or feel Regularly reach with hands and arms Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel orcrouch Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds Required close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision andability to adjust focus Qualifications: High School diploma preferred but not required Prefer 6 months of related experience – preferably in amanufacturing or machine shop environment. Must be detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadlinedriven environment. Good interpersonal skills and works well with all members of theorganization.
