Job Details Job Location: PT5 - Encinitas - Encinitas, CA 92024 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary: $85,000.00 - $99,000.00 per year Job Shift: Day Job Category: Health Care Works directly with Orthopedic Surgeons in outpatient physical therapy facilities. Post‑op protocol‑driven patient‑centered rehab. Responsibilities Provide direction of patient care. Supervise clinical and administrative staff regarding patient care in compliance with the Physical Therapy Board of California. Communicate with physicians and other practitioners regarding patient issues. Responsible To: Site Manager and Director of Physical Therapy. Clinic Duties Perform Physical Therapy evaluations and treatments. Show proficiency with the current EMR system. Perform objective measurements, including psychometric, isometric, and functional assessments. Perform and/or participate in functional capacity examinations and work conditioning. Conduct Patient Care Conferences (PCC) and maintain chart management. Directly supervise patients in conditioning programs via physical therapy aides and assistants. Direct supervision of all clinical staff as per the Physical Therapy Board of California. Supervise patient scheduling. Develop and maintain patient education programs. Oversee and interact with physicians and nurse practitioners, providing motivation, education, guidance, and support to patients. Resolve and maintain quality‑of‑care issues. Manage treatment time and billing. Address patient scheduling and flow issues. Handle public relations matters. Manage patient and referral source dilemmas as they arise. Assist in clinical training as needed, including aide competency lists. Schedule meetings with Site Manager and administration to discuss progress and future goals. Maintain current knowledge of professional literature and comply with California Physical Therapy Board continuing‑education requirements. Attend seminars, trainings, and meetings as required. Qualifications Education: BS required. Preferred: Masters in Physical Therapy or Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Experience: Orthopedic Rehabilitation.
