Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: San Francisco

Salary: $75K - $80K (exempt)

Direct Hire | Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor compliance with licensing, accreditation, and payer requirements.
• Oversee incident reporting, audits, and performance tracking.
• Support documentation accuracy, billing, and data integrity across teams.
• Provide training and guidance on compliance, documentation, and reporting standards.
• Ensure data privacy and confidentiality in accordance with regulations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive process improvements and respond to regulatory requests.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in behavioral health quality management, regulatory compliance, or utilization review
• Strong understanding of Medi‑Cal and Joint Commission requirements related to behavioral health services, documentation, and billing
• Comfortable working with county and regulatory partners and leading cross-functional initiatives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Willingness to be a hands-on supervisor (may include functional or project-based oversight)
• Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and electronic data/reporting systems
