Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) | Weekends and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 38-bed Medical Surgical unit managing a 1:5–6 patient ratio, with the ability to take up to 6 patients
• Care for a diverse adult patient population with diagnoses including pneumonia, UTI, dehydration, influenza, alcohol withdrawal, and post-surgical conditions including orthopedic, general surgery, spinal, and urology cases
• Titrate and manage drips including Heparin; administer set-rate drips such as Bumex and Lasix
• Conduct bedside shift reports and perform proactive patient rounding
• Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, and cardiac techs available 24/7; may float to IMCU for Medical Surgical assignments
• Document accurately using EPIC electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with EPIC documentation
• Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio
• Experience with bedside shift report

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with titratable drips including Heparin
• Familiarity with respiratory therapy equipment such as trachs, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Strong teamwork skills including willingness to assist with call lights and collaborate with CNA staff
