Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Family Lawyer role based in the United States, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home days. The Family Lawyer will manage a caseload involving matters such as divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, adoption, and related family law issues. Daily responsibilities include meeting with clients, assessing legal needs, providing advice, drafting pleadings, motions, and agreements, and negotiating settlements with opposing counsel. The role also involves preparing for and appearing in court hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials, as well as conducting legal research and staying current on developments in family law. The Family Lawyer will collaborate with colleagues and support staff, maintain accurate case files, and ensure timely communication with clients and external parties.
Qualifications

Qualifications
- Licensed attorney in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar (family law experience strongly preferred).
- Experience handling family law matters such as divorce, custody, support, and property distribution, including client counseling and case strategy.
- Strong legal research, writing, and drafting abilities, including preparation of motions, briefs, affidavits, discovery, and settlement agreements.
- Effective negotiation, mediation, and courtroom advocacy skills, with the ability to present arguments clearly and persuasively.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to support clients through emotionally sensitive situations in a professional and respectful manner.
- Excellent time management, organization, and case management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working in a hybrid setting, using legal practice management software, remote collaboration tools, and standard office technology.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; prior experience in a family law firm or litigation setting is highly beneficial.
