Join us in growing all aspects of our business while embodying these values.The Accounting Assistant will provide administrative and financial support to the General Manager and Marquette Mountain Resort. Responsibilities include maintaining precise accounting records, overseeing expense accounts, managing cash handling procedures, and performing various administrative duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Posting and reviewing general ledger journal entriesWeekly gathering and reconciling of expense receipts in ConcurEntering daily POS shift reports into QuickBooksWeekly register counts, change provision, and log maintenanceProcessing license renewals and maintaining recordsHandling mail and package pickup/deliveryParticipating in monthly financial statement analysisReceiving, scanning, and uploading invoices to QuickBooksContacting cardholders for missing receipts and expense codingAssisting department heads with expense tracking and budgetsUpdating the Summary Commitment SheetCompleting learning modules to support professional growthAssisting the General Manager with administrative and marketing tasksContributing to team spirit and creative problem-solvingDaily posting of bank activityPerforming general ledger reconciliationsDaily cash collection, reconciliation to QuickBooks, and bank depositsReconciling cash overages/shortagesAssisting with department inventory countsPresenting monthly financial reports to managementAdapting to organizational needs and undertaking additional duties as requiredMinimum Qualifications:An associate degree in Accounting (2-year) or at least one year of equivalent professional accounting experience is preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detail / accuracyStrong Organizational SkillsStrong spreadsheet and Google Application skillsStrong customer service skillsAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to work in an occasionally loud/chaotic environmentValid driver's licenseWe believe in taking care of our people.
