Overview Certified Medical Assistant I at the Overlake Clinic, Bellevue, WA. This full-time, 1.0 FTE position is Monday-Friday, with shift start times ranging between 7:30 am and 9:00 am. Perform a variety of patient care, technical, and administrative duties to assist practitioners and other members of the health care team in providing high-quality patient care. The Medical Assistant participates as a team member in the overall functioning of the clinic, managing patient flow for assigned providers each day. Responsibilities Skin patients and families to exam/procedure area Document vital signs and other patient information per clinic policy Assist with procedures as directed Conduct clerical tasks, patient transport, cleaning and restocking of exam rooms and meet other requests to maintain clinic flow Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses, abnormal versus new/existing pain and immediately escalates to RN and/or provider Performs Blood Draws as directed Acts as a liaison between patients/families and health care providers Qualifications Completion of a medical assistant program offered by a school accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP); or military training or experience may also satisfy the training and experience requirement. Certified Medical Assistant in the State of Washington and familiar with the State's conduct and standards of practice. Interim Certified Medical Assistant in the State of Washington and familiar with the State's conduct and standards of practice. Current Surgical Technologist Registration in the State of Washington within 30 days of hire as applicable, depending on location. Current BLS AHA Health Provider Card (or equivalent course) and renewal required every two years. Proficient in email and word processing systems. Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex healthcare environment. Ability to multitask, prioritize and problem-solve. Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) in a clear and concise manner. Ability to follow direction and guidance. Ability to recognize limitations and seek help. Ability to identify learning needs and plan learning opportunities. The hourly pay range for this position is $29.77 to $42.39, based on experience and qualifications.
